Aloo Fry Recipe(Potato Fry)

 Aloo Fry Recipe is also known as Potato Fry is a popular and simple Indian dish made with potatoes, spices and herbs. This dish is a perfect snack, side or even a main course paired with Rice or Roti.

How to Make Aloo Fry(Stepwise with photos)

Here , I uploaded the full recipe with photos step by step process. First we required the Ingredients for Recipe like,

Ingredients:

  1. 250 grams of Potatoes
  2. one medium size Onion
  3. 5 to 6 green chilies( as per your spiciness)
  4.  5 garlic cloves
  5. coriander leaves
  6. mint leaves( Pudina leaves)
  7. mustard seeds
  8. jeera seeds(cumin seeds)
  9. 2 or 3 red chilies
  10. turmeric powder
  11. Salt
  1. Here, I’m taking 250 grams of potatoes. Firstly wash the potatoes and cut them into half pieces and Cook the potatoes for 8 -10 minutes until they get soft.
  2. Now ,turn Off the flame and keep aside let it be cool. Later peel the potatoes and cut it unto pieces.

3. We make paste for Recipe, take a Jar add 6 to 7 green chilies, 4 garlic cloves, little jeera seeds, coriander leaves and mint leaves(Pudina Optional). Make it into smooth paste.

Tempering:

4. Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan on medium flame. Add 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds and 1/2 teaspoon Jeera seeds let them splutter. Now, add 2 slit red chilies, few curry leaves(optional), and chopped Onions. Saute until onions turn light golden color.

5. Add 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder and add smooth paste. Add some coriander powder and add salt to taste. Mix well on low flame so spices don’t burn.


6. Now, Add smashed potatoes in to a pan. Mix it well so the smooth paste coats the potatoes evenly. Cook it for 3 to 5mins on low flame and Garnish with coriander leaves (optional).

7. Finally , Our Aloo Fry(Potato Fry) Recipe is ready and turn off the flame. Serve the recipe with rice and rasam, Chapati or Parota and Puri .
