How to make Methi Dal(cooking process step by step with images)

Preparation:

 1. For this recipe you can use two types of Dal(like moong dal or toor dal),but here I prefer to use moong dal, else  if you can use toor dal also instead of moong dal or combination of both is also good.

2. Add them into vessel and rinse it well. Pour 1.5 cups of watee and add 1/8 teaspoon turmeric as well.

3. Add 5 to 6 green chilies(as per your spice) and add some fenugreek  leaves, 3 or  4 garlics and  jeera seeds, curry leaves  for flavour and taste. Next turn ON the stove, if you are using pressure cooker cook  it for  2 whistles on medium  flame.

Here I am cooking without  pressure cooker, take water into a rolling boil and reduce the fame into medium. Cook until the lentils become soft and tender, if required pour some water into it. and let cook until they break down and turn mushy.
